Q: What music genres does MusicFox Audio Works normally compose?
A: MusicFox Audio Works can do a wide variety of music, from techno to rock to western. Our specialty is in simulated orchestral soundtracks. We use digital instrumentation to keep outsourcing down and prices low for our clients, and often times it can be almost impossible to tell the difference between a live recording and a simulated one. We are able to accommodate live instrumentation as well if the need arises, at additional costs.

Q: How is pricing done?
A: Premade music loops are deemed shareware, and are free for general distribution under certain terms. Custom music loops and custom soundtracks are priced by the hours spent composing, although pricing varies depending on the complexity of the process and the type of music being prepared. Transitional Loops are also hourly-based but due to their extremely complex (but ultimately incredibly rewarding) design, they will have a higher rate than normal custom loops. Please contact us with your needs and we can discuss the best possible solution to your project's needs.

Q: What type and quality of audio can you provide?
A: .MP3 is our preferred export due to its high quality and low size. Other forms (.WAV, .AIFF, etc.) at various bitrates can be provided at no extra cost. We will host a folder on our site for you to be able to retrieve your files, or we can email them. At a minimal price (to cover shipping) we can also send data or audio CDs via USPS.

Q: Who is MusicFox Audio Works?
A: The main composer is Colin McCloy. Colin has more than 15 years of experience in music performance and has been composing music for 8 years. Other musicians are hired when needed for studio recordings. MusicFox Audio Works is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States.
